All packages include the ability to migrate any size mailbox, from tiny to gigabytes. If you have more than 3 email addresses to migrate, the 1 Week, 1 Month, or 1 year Unlimited packages are always the best option. And if you are an agency that performs migrations several time a year, the 1 Year Unlimited Migrations package will pay for itself quickly. Your payment is safe at IMAP-to-IMAP.com. We do not store credit cards, nor do we offer automatic renewals. We will notify you by email prior to your 1 Week, 1 Month, or 1 Year package expiration date. Single Email Address Migration packages never expire until used.

Email migrations can be complex due to differences in protocols. To ensure our service meets your needs, we recommend starting with a migration of a single email address. If you're not fully satisfied with the results of a single migration, we'll gladly refund your purchase on request. Please note that refunds are not available for unlimited packages, as they allow for multiple uses and migration retries. But rest assured, we are here to assist you if you ever have any issues with any migration.


Our Security Guarantee

In order to migrate email, the email address and password is required in order for our system to log into both the source host and the destination host. The passwords are encrypted - even our techs cannot see them - and both the email address and password are only stored long enough to facilitate the migration. Your email login information is also encrypted when it is sent to the destination server from the source server. And at the end of the migration you can easily delete them from our system. And if you forget, our system will delete them for you a short time after the migration completes. Our system cannot read your emails, nor does it store or access your email content in any way, other than to transfer them from one server to another.


Before the Migration

Before migrating any email box the email address must exist and be configured at both the old host and the new host. IMAP-to-IMAP.com cannot create these for you. Our job is to connect to these two ends and then transfer email from one host to the other. At a minimum you will need the email address and email password for both the old email host and the new email host. You may also need the IMAP Host for the destination server.


Can I migrate many email boxes?

Yes! Once you have submitted payment or logged into your account you can choose either one of our two migration methods - our Single Migration Tool, or our Bulk Migration Tool. The Single Migration Tool allows one email address migration at a time. The Bulk Migration Tool allows you to upload a simple CSV file to our site and then walk away from it while it's doing its thing. So convenient!


How do I know if my passwords, MX hosts, and port numbers are correct?

After you enter your email account's login information, either in the Single Migration Tool or in the bulk CSV file upload, our system will perform a number of extensive tests to make sure it can log into each of your email boxes. If problems are found, it will provide a report so that you can correct these issues before proceeding with your migration.


Is it safe? Can I lose any emails?

Our migrations are completely safe and our system will not delete any emails or accounts on either server during or after the migration. Once you have verified that all emails are present in your new accounts, then you can safely delete the email accounts on the old server.


How long will it take?

Small email boxes will only take a few minutes, but large email boxes with thousands of emails in them may take several hours. Patience is the key. You can close your browser and your email migration will continue in the background. You will receive a confirmation email when your migration has been completed.


How will I know if it worked?

After a migration completes you will see a report in your browser, per email address, that will tell you if your migration succeeded or failed. You will also receive this as an attached log file in a confirmation email. If one or more addresses failed they will be saved in your account where you can try again as many times as needed at no extra charge. Just click the email address in your account and start again. Previoulsy migrated emails will not be duplicated. When it looks like everything succeeded, check the destination server to ensure it's all there.


Can I migrate from or to Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, etc.?

Yes! Our system supports migrations to and from a variety of providers, with IMAP being the default option that works well for most migrations. However, some email providers, such as Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo, and others, use proprietary protocols that may require additional steps for migration. You can choose specific protocols from the Protocol box on the single migration page, or specify the protocol in a bulk upload CSV file. We recommend reviewing the relevant tutorials for these providers before proceeding. You can also refer to these instructions directly on the migration form for convenience. Supported providers include: AOL, Domino, Gmail, Hotmail, iCloud, Exchange, MSN, Office 365, Yahoo, and Zimbra. If your provider isn't listed, you can safely proceed with the default IMAP protocol, which typically requires no additional steps for migration.


I paid for 3 Single Email Address Migrations, do I have to use them all at once?

Your unused credits will remain available in your account and can be used at any time in the future. They never expire until used. New credits can be purchased from within your account for use now or in the future. Our unlimited packages expire at the end of their term.


Can I also migrate my contacts, calendars, and aliases?

Our system only migrates email accounts and all of their mailboxes and folders - anything IMAP related. Since contacts and calendars in your old hosting account do not use the IMAP protocol you will need to migrate those separately. Some hosts have import/export functions using CSV or ICS files, and some do not. You will also need to recreate any aliases or forwarders in your new host as these are not actual mailboxes.
